Love Beyond Belief is a spiritual practice of insight, reflection, and compassionate action. It begins with experiences of connection that can awaken awe, care, joy, and a felt sense of wonder.
These experiences can help heal broken hearts, steady restless minds, and restore parts of ourselves that have been hidden, injured, or neglected.
Through PDR&S—Pause, Discern, Reflect, and Share—participants practice a different way of being together: belonging without conformity, difference without dehumanization, honest expression without attack, and disagreement without disconnection. Participants notice what they feel, understand how those feelings shape meaning, and carry renewed connection into relationship, compassionate understanding, and action.
Work with congregations
The Love Beyond Belief congregational model engages religious and secular communities. It focuses on worship, music, small groups, leadership development, and community practice to help congregations renew their emotional vitality and deepen their public mission through practices of emotional awareness, connection, and shared responsibility. The model cultivates belonging, embodied feeling, compassionate understanding, compassionate action, and the connection between inner renewal and public responsibility.
Its goals include:
Strengthening worship and the integration of music and spoken word
Developing small-group ministries and other practices of connection
Supporting leaders in creating emotionally alive communities
Connecting congregational renewal with social justice, economic responsibility, and ecological stewardship
Creating resources that help communities sustain the work
